At least 14 people have been injured in what is suspected to be a gas explosion at a 5-star hotel in central London, prompting authorities to evacuate over 500 guests from the posh hotel and launch an investigation.
An Indian man, who was pursuing an MBA in the United Kingdom, died after being struck by a train at a London Underground station in the capital's southwest, authorities said on Monday.
Major incidents have previously been called for the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017 and the terrorist attacks in the UK capital. A major incident is defined as an event or situation with a range of serious consequences which requires special arrangements to be implemented by one or more emergency responder agency.
The incident took place at the Parsons Green station, which has been closed.
Police is expecting the death toll to rise.
